Our founder, award-winning producer Jacob Mosler, has over 20 years of entertainment industry experience that has garnered him the expertise to create more than 400 accurate and effective budgets, schedules, and tax incentive analyses for film, television, music, and multimedia productions. Jacob’s specialty is producing feature films shot in challenging and remote locations and maximizing the creative vision of the director. His vast experience from budgeting to studio deliverables has amassed 16 feature film credits.
Jacob Mosler is an EMMY award winning producer. His last three documentary series have all been nominated for Sports Emmys SHUT UP AND DRIBBLE, WHY WE FIGHT & TOM VS. TIME (Emmy winner – Outstanding Serialized Sports Documentary). Mosler’s vast producing experience includes films, TV series, all media formats and music festivals. Mosler’s 16 feature film credits including I DO…UNTIL I DON’T, 7 MINUTES, EDEN, ANSWERS TO NOTHING, THE DETAILS and the award-winning MEAN CREEK, which premiered at Sundance and the Cannes film festivals winning the 2004 Sundance Humanitas Award and two Independent Spirit Awards. Jacob was the co-founder and producer of ISLAND FESTIVAL a 3-day music and arts extravaganza featuring 30 international musicians and artists.
Jacob is a member of the Directors Guild of America (UPM), an independent producer of film and television and is Founder/CEO of FilmBudgetPro.com, a consulting firm that creates detailed budgets and financial plans for film, festivals, and all media. Mosler graduated from the American Film Institute in 2000 with an MFA in Producing, and has produced more than 35 short films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries including the Sundance “Official Entry” MIND OVER MATTER. Jacob also produced the two-time TELLY award-winning PSA, Peace in 5 Years.
Mosler officially started Film Budget Pro in 2008 after creating hundreds of budgets for friends and colleagues and producing 8 feature films.
